The Summer Girlfriend

by Kristina Forest

Noelle Lewis is saving every penny to return to college after being laid off from her bookseller job. When a chance encounter with Jeremiah Smith II, the heir to a famous baked‑goods empire, offers her a quick cash gig as his "stand‑in" girlfriend for a weekend, she jumps at the chance. What begins as a fake summer fling to satisfy Jeremiah’s family obligations quickly deepens as they spend the season together on the sands of Heart Beach, New Jersey. As Noelle and Jeremiah navigate family expectations, past wounds, and their growing attraction, they must decide whether their summer romance is just a convenient arrangement or something worth fighting for.
