Storm siren

by Mary Weber · 2014

In the war‑torn kingdom of Faelen, seventeen‑year‑old Nym is a slave with a deadly secret: she can summon storms that kill. As an Elemental, she should not even exist—her kind are born male and are slain at birth—yet she stands on the auction block, her curse exposed. A court advisor offers her a grim choice: become the weapon Faelen needs to win the war, or die. Choosing the former, Nym is thrust into a world of cut‑throat politics, extravagant parties, and whispers of a darkness far greater than the war itself. With a mysterious trainer who can calm her lightning, she must learn to control a power that could either save her kingdom or destroy it. "Storm Siren" blends simmering romance, a richly imagined fantasy setting, and a jaw‑dropping finale, launching a fast‑paced, clean YA romantasy trilogy.
