The Sea Hides Its Dead

by Megan Bontrager · 2026

When graduate student Caro is offered a chance to work as a research assistant for her charismatic professor and lover, Edward Beck, she jumps at the opportunity. Beck has assembled a team of scholars and specialists to explore the submerged caves once home to the ancient sea‑cult of the Leviathan. Their scientific curiosity quickly turns to terror when a collapse seals the entrance, trapping them in darkness. Amid the eerie artifacts and scattered bones, an unseen force awakens a series of supernatural trials, each demanding that the victims confront the darkest sins they have hidden from themselves. As the cave becomes a nightmarish crucible, the academics must either atone for their past or become the next victims of the sea’s relentless, eldritch hunger.
