13 at Dinner

by Agatha Christie · 1976

When Jane Edgware boasts about eliminating her estranged husband, the aristocrat’s corpse is soon discovered in his library, a knife through his heart. Yet witnesses saw Jane laughing over dinner with friends at the exact moment of the murder. The great Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is called in, and he quickly senses a clever deception. As he untangles alibis, motives, and the tangled web of high‑society intrigue, Poilet discovers that the truth behind Lord Edgware’s death is far more twisted than anyone imagined.
