Guy Gavriel Kay

Guy Gavriel Kay is a Canadian author who wrote The Fionavar Tapestry as his first work. He was inspired to write the trilogy to explore the deep roots of myth and legend that underpin the fantasy genre, consciously moving beyond simple imitations of Tolkien.
